Semi-arid Caldénal grassland
A single, contiguous ranch in the Argentine Pampas.
Open grassland and shrub-woodland beneath a wide, dry sky. Large enough to matter; coherent enough to manage as one living system.
We will tell you exactly what it is.
Malal-Co. is degraded, over rested and over grazed but reversibly so. Decades of mismanaged grazing have let shrubs crowd out the grass, thinned the soil, and broken the water cycle. This is not ruin. It is a landscape waiting for the right management to return.
Studied before a single decision.
The land has been assessed in full by Pablo Borrelli and Pedro Helling, of Ovis 21 and SIMBIOSIS. Among Argentina's most respected regenerative ecologists, who mapped every environment across the ranch. We begin from evidence, not optimism.
Some of our tools have been applied here, and the results are remarkable, demonstrating the land’s capacity to recover and perform under a disciplined, holistic management approach.
In practice.
Brought back, over time.
The work is patient: restore the grass, rebuild the water cycle, and let the land carry more life season by season, over a horizon measured in years, not quarters. Beneath the whole undertaking lies the land itself, held as collateral.
Why Argentina, why now.
La Pampa offers what few places do at once. Land at a fraction of comparable markets, the world's deepest community of Holistic Management practitioners, and a resilience built into the way the land earns. The conditions to begin are here today.
